Summer of Pub: Heartland Brewery : Summer of Pub: Heartland Brewery saw a select few venture into the Empire State Building to sample some of the cities locally brewed selections. The winners at this local were definitely the Red Rooster Ale and Farmer Jon's Oatmeal Stout. After sampling what the Heartland had to offer we decided that we needed a bit more of a selection so we walked over two blocks to a perennial favorite, The Ginger Man. The winners there were definitely the Chelsea Cream Stout and the Weyerbacher Raspberry Imperial Stout.

Reckless Beerfest : On Saturday, May 23rd, 2008, one of the wildest and most unexpected events in our history took place, and most people never even saw it coming! International playgirl Wiggy, feeling left out of our recent rebirth festivities, formally requested the Director of Taste for yet another celebratory BeerFest, and paid her own plane fair to the States to take part! Kicking off what promises to be a trailblazing summer, the DoT led a few select participants, for the first time, to Brooklyn's Barcade, where his burning question from October of last year was finally answered. Yes, you CAN get drunk and play Frogger! In contrast to the calm reverence of BeerFest Unified, last night's event was a knock-down, drag-out bombast that saw visceral emotion exploding from many in attendance. We hope to return to Barcade one day, and bring more of our fine competitors, but surely no future event could compare to the wild exuberance of "Reckless BeerFest."
